    ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

    We endeavour to give our customers the most accurate information as possible on the dating of vintage items. We date vintage clothing and accessories by using our best judgement and experience relating to labels, design, fabric, workmanship, and (where known) information given by the original owner. This information is given in good faith, but is not a guarantee. Despite our knowledge and research we may occasionally get it wrong, but we will not intentionally give false information regarding an items age.

    Item descriptions will disclose any flaws, and will denote measurements, to enable you to make an informed buying decision. It is your responsibility to read and understand our condition chart and sizing guide before making a purchase.

    ORDERING AND PURCHASING

    We reserve the right to change prices quoted on the website from time to time, but will not change the price of an item after you have placed an order. Goods are subject to availability. We endeavour to keep the website up to date, but it may be possible that a prior order has been placed on the item, in which case the earlier order will take priority.We will confirm your order by email and, subject to availability, will reserve the goods for 7 calendar days, pending payment.

    PAYMENT

    We accept payment by Paypal, by credit card over the telephone,and by cheque/postal order (UK customers only). Following acceptance of your order, we will email you an invoice with full payment details. The items you have ordered will be reserved for 7 calendar days from the invoice date. Non-receipt of payment within this time frame, will result in the order being cancelled and the 'Reserved' status will be removed from the goods.

    The ownership of the goods shall not pass to you, the buyer, until the goods are paid for in full, prior to despatch.

    International orders must be paid by Paypal, in sterling. We do not have any control or liability over exchange rates.

    DELIVERY

    From receipt of your payment we will endeavour to despatch your order within 3 working days, when payment has been made by Paypal or postal order. In the case of payments made by cheque, orders will be despatched upon cheque clearance. We will send email confirmation of despatch and will advise you by email if there is a delay in despatching your order due to unforeseen circumstances.

    POSTAL COSTS

    Postal costs are determined by the weight of the item(s) you order. We will confirm postal costs relating to your order in the order confirmation email, and costs will be included in the invoice total.

    We use Royal Mail for our deliveries. UK orders will be posted by Recorded Signed For First Class Delivery. The majority of packages posted by this method will be delivered by the next working day, though this is not guaranteed. International orders will be shipped by Airsure. The majority of packages shipped by this method will be delivered within 3-5 working days, though this is not guaranteed. Both these postal methods allow us to track and trace parcels and confirm delivery. Details can be found on the Royal Mail website. If your order is lost in transit, we will trace the order for you.

RETURNS POLICY

We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase, but if, for any reason, you are not happy you can return the item(s) for a refund, adhering to the conditions outlined below. We will refund the purchase price of the item(s), subject to the following conditions, but will not refund despatch or return postage costs. However, if an item has been described inaccurately by us in error, postage costs will be reimbursed.

To avoid disappointment in your purchase, and to reduce the administrations costs of handling returns, we request that you make full use of the sizing guide, and study the condition gradings when making your purchase choices. We recommend that you ask all questions you have about the item prior to purchase. We welcome queries by email and telephone.

Conditions of Return:

  • You must email us within 24 hours of receipt of the goods, to advise of your intention to return the item(s), stating the reason for return.

  • You must return the items to us within 7 calendar days of the receipt of the goods. We are unable to issue a refund on any items posted to us later than 7 calendar days from receipt of goods.

  • Goods must be returned to us in their original condition as per their despatch from Decadence, with their tags attached.

  • Goods must be returned in their original packaging as per their despatch from Decadence, or in packaging of equivalent quality.

  • We are unable to issue a refund on goods which have been lost on their return to us. You are responsible for filing any claim with Royal Mail for compensation in the event of loss. Therefore goods should be returned using a traceable method such as recorded delivery, or you must at least obtain a proof of postage certificate, and you should ensure that the goods have adequate insurance to cover their value. We will not issue a refund on items that are damaged in the post on their return to us unless you can produce proof of postage and proof of adequate insurance, to enable us to make a compensation claim.

REFUNDS

  • We will issue you an email confirmation on receipt of returned goods.

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of receipt of the returned goods, subject to the conditions outlined above. Dependent on how you paid for the goods, refund will either be issued by cheque, to your credit card or to your Paypal account.

  • We reserve the right to refuse a refund on any item(s) we believe to have been worn, altered,or damaged, since despatch from Decadence.

PRIVACY POLICY

It is our policy to respect the privacy rights of all our customers, and visitors to our website. We take the utmost care in ensuring that your details and information are secure, and have in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial controls to safeguard the personal details and information that we collect online.

Any details you provide us with will be treated confidentially. We will never sell, lease or share your details with a third party, unless we are required to by law.

We may collect the following information:

  • Name

  • Contact information, including email address

  • Demographic information (address, post code)


How we use this information:

  • Information you supply on an Order Form will be used to process your order, from confirmation of your order through to despatch of your order. We may email or telephone you to enable us to process your order successfully.

  • Information that you supply when you subscribe to our Mailing List will be used to send you monthly updates, news and special offers. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us at mailinglist@decadencevintageclothing.co.uk, putting the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject field.

  • Any information that you supply to us in our feedback form will be used to improve our website, products and services.


Your details are only used for the purpose for which they were submitted. So, details you provide when placing an order won't be used to contact you about anything other than your order. Similarly, details that you provide when you subscribe to our Mailing List will only be used to send you monthly updates.
